Pain Management
Massage therapy helps relieve tension and stress, aids in easing muscle and joint pain, improves sleep and provides many other benefits that can help alleviate the symptoms of chronic pain.
Techniques utilizes long, flowing strokes, often but not necessarily in thedirection of the heart. Six basic strokes: effleurage, petrissage, friction,tapotement, compression and vibration are designed to increase circulationand blood flow. Oil, cream, or lotion is applied on the skin to reduce frictionand allow smooth strokes.
A hands-on technique that seeks to free the body from the grip of tight fascia, or connective tissue, thus restoring normal alignment and function and reducing pain. Using their hands, therapists apply mild, sustained pressure to gently stretch and soften the fascia.
AIS is a specific stretching program developed by Aaron Mattes over 30 years ago. Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) method of muscle lengthening and fascial release is a type of Athletic Stretching Technique that provides effective, dynamic, facilitated stretching of major muscle groups.
Massage therapy during pregnancy is a wonderful complementary choice for prenatal care. It is a healthy way to reduce stress and promote overall wellness. Massage relieves many of the normal discomforts experienced during pregnancy, such as backaches, stiff neck, leg cramps, headaches and edema (or swelling).
Stress
Stress manifests itself physically. It may present as a headache, upset stomach and/or chronic muscular tension, causing pain. Stress is a prevalent component in today’s world which can negatively impact on an individual’s health and well-being. Massage therapy has been shown to be a means by which stress can be reduced significantly on physical and psychological levels.

Soft tissue manipulation to increase performance, relax muscle spasm/strain, assists the body’s own healing process, injury prevention, speeds the recovery process from injury. Hydrotherapy uses water in its three forms-liquid, solid or vapor-in the treatment of the body.
Muscle energy technique is a non-invasive method of manual therapy. It is said to help with relieving pain, fixing joint issues, reducing edema and improving a person’srange of motion. It is based on reciprocal inhibition, which is a theory that describes how muscles react.
An oncology massage is a client-specific, customized massage session designed to meet the unique and changing needs of someone in treatment for cancer or with a history of cancer treatment. A safe massage plan generally revolves around the side effects (both short- and long-term) of chemotherapy, radiation and surgery.
